Due to high customer demand we are now seeking at exapnding the Software Development team based in North Sydney. This role is as a Full Stack Developer - however is focusing primarily on Back End development and will be a key contributor to the development of a new SaaS product being released later this year.
Whilst this is an initial 6 month contract, the team is growing and they will consider this positon for a full time role.
💻 The Tech Stack involves:
- Frontend: React
- Backend & Infra: Java 24, AWS, Terraform
- Integrations: Xero, Stripe, Square, weighbridge systems, camera and drone software
🛠 What You’ll Do
- Contribute towards DevOp practices and infrastructure management (AWS, Terraform)
- Assist the Principal Softare Engineer with development of new features from design to deployment
- Collaborate closely with Product (PM/UX) to deliver scalable, practical solutions
- Build and maintain robust third-party integrations (financial platforms, IoT, etc.)
- Create clear documentation, and internal knowledge-sharing resources
✅ What You Bring
- 3-5+ years working with Back End Development focused on functional programming
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS S3 preferred ) and infrastructure as code (Terraform) - develop features, cloud settings and hosting applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks preferable Java 24
- strong experience working across data from data storage systems such as SQL
- Working knowlede of Lamda and crud
- Experience integrating with complex third-party systems (finance, hardware, IoT, etc.)
- Strong understanding of spring security and security layering best practices
🌟 Bonus Points For
- Experience launching or scaling SaaS products and knwolede of oAuth2 protocols
- Familiarity with compliance, permissions, or operational modules in B2B platforms
